She got this interview because she had four certifications combined with Rob Cyber’s Splunk SOC Incident Response Training. The company ended up choosing someone else because of Shannon’s lack of IT experience, since about 95% of Cybersecurity professionals start with an IT job before moving into Cyber. This was still a great learning experience for Shannon and will help sharpen her interview skills for the next job opportunity.
